Filipina tennis star Alex Eala will not soon forget “Tito Rex”, the dinosaur-clad supporter who brought wild energy and unmistakable Filipino pride to the stands.
Eala recalled spotting the fan wearing a dinosaur costume, waving the Philippine flag and dancing enthusiastically during her National Bank Open campaign in Canada.
“He was like dancing in the stands. He put his leg up on the railing, he was like shaking it. You are a perfect fan!” Eala said in an interview with the Cincinnati Open.
The hilarious display stood out even among the Filipino supporters who turned up to cheer for Eala throughout the tournament.
With his costume, flag and unforgettable dance moves, “Tito Rex” certainly knew how to get the tennis star’s attention.
