Netizens on Twitter recently debated if there was really a need for Turks Shawarma to open its first ever drive thru joint in the country.
One netizen uploaded a photo and commented: “You could not have designed a stupider waste of space”

Some agreed, saying this type of space in the country prioritizes cars over people, and is not ideal in the Philippines.
Ayokong-ayoko talaga sa ganito pagdedesign ng restorante, mas inuuna ang kotse kasya tao https://t.co/SzHSOWB7YP

Are there even car owners who would prefer Turks over other food 😭😭😭 who is the market?!

However, a few defended the franchise and said that he prefers to buy Turks via drive thru compared to other options.
How is this a waste of space? I would choose to drive thru a turks anytime than jollibee or mcdo that serves junkier food. There’s obviously a market. Have you seen the line to a starbucks drive thru?
