John Michael Hilton, chief of Visum Ventures and the mastermind behind the success of Koomi, recently shed light on one of the major hurdles encountered when launching a yogurt brand in the Philippines.
Taking to his Facebook account, John shared a valuable insight into managing a relatively new player like Koomi in the local market.
“Prior to Koomi, yogurt was known as either expensive or sour. To address this perception, we implemented a strategic marketing approach by offering both an Australian blend and a Filipino blend,” he said.
By introducing a diverse range of flavors that cater to both local and international preferences, Koomi successfully differentiated itself in the Philippine yogurt market.
