The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is alerting the public on the investment schemes being offered by Bitpocket and Agri Marine Ventures.
According to the SEC, the two entities are not authorized to solicit investments from the public as they have not secured a license to do so from the corporate watchdog.
Bitpocket is offering investments with a minimal amount of $20 or P1,100 up to $10,000 or P550,400 , in which investors would earn guaranteed passive income with a daily rate of return of one percent up to 300 percent in 300 days.
Investors are likewise promised earnings of one percent to 10 percent as referral incentives.
For its part, Agri Marine Ventures, an unregistered entity purportedly engaged in farming, poultry, piggeries, fisheries, and wet market, is enticing the public to invest online or through the internet with a guaranteed income.
Agri Marine is reportedly using its Department of Trade and Industry registration to put a color of legitimacy as to its purported business activity.
The SEC urged the public not to invest or stop investing in any investment scheme being offered by Bitpocket and Agri Marine Ventures, as well as to exercise caution in dealing with any individuals or groups soliciting investments on their behalf.
