Season of change: The Final Pitch introduces new judges and global goals

The Final Pitch, a business reality show that started in the Philippines in 2017, is accepting entries from startups and entrepreneurs with groundbreaking ideas for new ventures for its latest season.

John Aguilar, The Final Pitch founder and host, said the show is setting its sights on expanding globally. It will debut its latest season as The Final Pitch: Philippines in preparation for the move.

The show declined to comment on the fall from grace of two of its original hosts, Joseph Calata and Maria Francesca “Mica” Tan, who are facing charges of alleged market manipulation and securities fraud. “While we cannot comment on ongoing legal matters, it’s important to note that The Final Pitch remains committed to its core mission of supporting entrepreneurs with integrity and transparency,” the managment said.

The latest episode will feature Wilcon Depot COO and SVP Rose Ong as a special guest judge, who had featured in previous seasons. The new set of judges are: UAE angel investor Su Le, Pulse 63 Healthcare Ventures Managing Director Abdul Paravengal, and Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda dela Cruz.

Extensive experience in entrepreneurship, investment acumen, and commitment to mentoring and supporting startups were the bases for selecting the new set of judges.

The show expects the new set of judges to bring a fresh perspective to the program, and their diverse backgrounds will provide a wealth of knowledge that contestants can learn from.

Interested participants can apply on the show’s website until June 21, 2024. Filming of the initial pitches is scheduled for June 24-25.
