Pascual’s strategy for local enterprise growth: Loan grants and training programs

The Department of Trade and Industry disbursed P7.3 million in financial assistance to selected micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

President Bongbong Marcos Jr. led the distribution, accompanied by DTI Secretary Fred Pascual, during the launch of the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (PBSF), which aims to consolidate government programs and services in one venue to enhance accessibility.

Pascual said the assistance encompassed a combination of loan grants and training initiatives strategically devised to promote the advancement of local enterprises.

These programs include Negosyo Center training activities, Negosyo Center business counseling, the Livelihood Seeding Program-Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa, and RISE Up—a multi-purpose loan offered by the Small Business Corporation.

The DTI provided livelihood starter kits valued at P9,882 each to 50 MSMEs and extended loans totaling P6.8 million to 12 MSMEs under the RISE Up program.

Additionally, 1,000 individuals participated in training seminars and counseling sessions.
