After completing her college education, Nina Ellaine Dizon, the founder and CEO of Colourette Cosmetics, openly addressed the discomfort she felt when labeled as “inspirational” during her earlier college dropout phase.
In an extensive Instagram post, Nina articulated her feelings: “People would often label me an inspiration—a college dropout who went on to establish renowned brands like Colourette and Fresh Formula. What they couldn’t see was that I wasn’t proud of the dropout label. Instead, I was unapologetic about my hustle and the hurdles I faced as an entrepreneur without a diploma.”
Nina disclosed that, despite her remarkable achievements, she still harbored a desire to complete her education.
“Despite the success of my brands, completing my education was a persistent goal in mind, as I deeply understood the value of learning and ongoing innovation.
Today, with so much gratitude and humility, I’m thrilled to share with you all that I, Nina Ellaine Dizon, hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management, from the Lyceum of the Philippines University,” she said.
