New Clark City to get supercharged: Double11 Properties invests P100 million in EV station and retail hub

New Clark City is set to get a modern super station equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging terminals and a retail center.

The project, a first for the area, is expected to generate government revenue, create jobs, and promote eco-friendly transportation.

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) signed a deal with Double 11 Properties Corp. for a one-hectare plot to develop the full-service station.

Double 11 plans to invest at least P100 million in the first phase, with the potential for a P100 million expansion.

“This partnership marks a significant step for New Clark City’s development as a smart and green metropolis,” said BCDA official Mark Torres.

The super station is projected to serve 200,000 motorists annually, house over 20 retail stores and offices, and create around 500 jobs.

The project aligns with New Clark City’s vision of becoming a “15-minute city” where residents can easily access essential amenities within walking or cycling distance. This development also promotes sustainability through the inclusion of EV charging facilities.

Double 11 specializes in establishing and operating various facilities including theme parks, industrial parks, and super stations. Its portfolio includes partnerships with international food franchises, branded retail outlets, business process outsourcing firms, residential developments, and fuel distribution stations across strategic locations such as Northwalk Clark and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.

“With BCDA, we are bringing our international brand partners here to provide an excellent service to motorists. Using our experience and expertise, we will not only be developing a super station, but also a lifestyle development where people can park, dine, shop, and work,” said Ren Siccion, Double 11’s business development manager.
