Sixty-three tourism operators and site owners have completed the MSME training program organized by the Tourism Promotion Authority.
This training was conducted with the support of the Small to Medium Enterprise Corporation (SMEC).
Nathan Timo, the director of Growth and Development at SMEC, emphasized the international standards of this training, noting its implementation in neighboring Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia.
Timo stressed the importance of tourism’s connection to broader societal changes, stating, “Tourism cannot exist in isolation; it must be an integral part of the evolving society.” He encouraged the graduates to contribute positively to their respective communities.
