Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. has designated Atty. Alvin John Balagbag, formerly the head of the legal department at the Frabelle Group of Companies, as his Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff at the Department of Agriculture.
Balagbag, who joined Laurel at the Frabelle Group in August 2017, previously served as the corporate secretary of PNOC Renewables Corp. He holds a law degree from the University of Santo Tomas and an MBA from Ateneo de Manila University.
Meanwhile, Laurel has appointed Assistant Secretary Genevieve Velicaria-Guevarra
to lead the Kadiwa program. In her expanded capacity, she will also act as the OIC-executive director of the Philippine Fiber Development Authority and serve as the liaison for legislative affairs.
