GoNegosyo is celebrating its 17th year with an event for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.
Founder Joey Concepcion said the event is a way to recognize the role of MSMEs and the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) as one of the main drivers of the economy, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“”Over the 17 years that we promoted entrepreneurship in the Philippines, we found that many of the MSMEs we helped grow were the ventures of OFWs who dreamt of a life of financial security for their families back home,” he expressed through a statement.
He also cited the important role of both industries in the recovery of the Philippine economy. “I suppose it is only fitting — and so telling of the times — that Go Negosyo marks its 17th anniversary with the two major drivers of the Philippine economy at center stage: MSMEs and OFWs,” he added.
Kabayan 2022 is set today with the theme: “Kabuhayan, Kinabukasan at Kaagapay ng Pamilyang OFW”.
