With a goal to empower the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines, GoNegosyo organized an event to assist local goods and service providers in integrating technology in their business.
GoNegosyo, in partnership with the US embassy, led MSMEs, founders of digital start-ups, key executives from leading digital technology companies and incubators, experts in the creative industry, incubators, and start-ups, as well as young professionals and students in this year’s Digital Sign Up Now event last Monday.
“The game has changed. Digitalization has given MSMEs an equal opportunity to move up the ladder of success,” said GoNegosyo founder Joey Concepcion during his opening remarks. “
“The pandemic has accelerated the digital transformation of many MSMEs, which benefited immensely from the e-wallets, delivery apps, and social media which allowed them to compete alongside the big players. And this is significant for all of us because MSMEs generate more than half of the jobs in the Philippines,” he added.
