Going green: Mober to replace 180 gas-powered units with electric vehicles by 2024

Mober, a third-party delivery service led by SM’s 2GO Group, plans to replace 180 of its gas-powered vans and trucks into electric vehicles by the middle of 2024.

“We are proud to be the go-to green+tech logistics provider in the Philippines by leveraging electric vehicles, utilizing technology to achieve efficiencies, and advocating for sustainability in the industry,” said Mober CEO Dennis Ng.

Mober has signed a deal with what3words, a global location technology company to ensure that deliveries arrive at their precise drop off points faster and more efficiently.

Its accurate mapping technology helps the company save energy by avoiding deliveries to wrong addresses or missing addresses.

Among Mober’s clients are Ikea, Rockwell Land, Nespresso and the SM-controlled Red Ribbon Bakeshop and SM Appliance Center.
