By Eileen Mencias

Entrepreneurs residing in Quezon City now have the opportunity to secure a P1-million grant from the Quezon City government, as applications have opened for Cohort 3 of the Startup QC program.

Applicant startups must have at least one member who is a resident of Quezon City and is at least 21 years old. Startup QC provides a series of lectures and workshops referred to as tailored Learning, Engagement, and Development (LEAD) sessions over a period of three to four months. It’s a venue for startups to interact with industry experts, mentors, advisors, and accelerators to strengthen their operations and level up.

The deadline for applications to the StartUp QC Professional Category is June 27, 2024. Applicants must have a minimum viable product that does not duplicate existing programs or projects as determined by the local government. They must also submit a video pitch of up to 5 minutes and a business plan not exceeding 10 pages.

StartUp QC was established in 2022 to support innovative entrepreneurs who will create jobs and spur the local economy. StartUp QC culminates in Demo Day, where participants pitch their ideas to an audience of stakeholders from the startup ecosystem who will determine which will receive financial grants of up to P1 million.
