Duty Free Philippines Inc. is actively searching for suppliers across various product categories and has scheduled a meeting on April 24, 2023, following the approval of the deferment of its restructuring plan by the Governance Commission for Government Owned Corporations.
The company has laid out strict criteria for suppliers, including a paid-up capital of at least P25 million or its foreign currency equivalent, a minimum of five years of experience in travel retail operations, and a prior or existing relationship with brand owners.
Suppliers interested in attending the online meeting at 1 pm on April 24 and must pay a non-refundable fee ranging from P10,000 to P25,000 by noon on the same day
. The participation fee varies according to product categories, with P25,000 for retailers of perfumes/cosmetics, sweets/snacks/fashion, wines and liquor, and grocery items, P15,000 for retailers of appliances and gadgets, and Lacoste brand, and P10,000 for fine jewelry and cigarettes.
To submit a proposal, suppliers must provide proof of payment of the non-refundable participation fee and the required documents by 2 pm on April 26. The proposals will be opened five minutes after the deadline.
