Bilyonaryo Lance Gokongwei got through COVID-19 lockdowns reading various books to expand his mindset.
The president and CEO of JG Summit and Gokongwei-owned brands like Cebu Pacific revealed the favorite books he read lduring the pandemic.
“I still prefer reading printed books over digital ones. During the lockdown, it was comforting to take a break from all the uncertainty by reading a good, hefty book,” Gokongwei said, sharing a photo of him reading a book on leadership while sitting inside his young daughter’s room.
Here are his favorite titles.
“One of the books I read over the pandemic (not the one in this picture) was American Moonshot: John F. Kennedy and the Great Space Race. About how a world leader dreamt big and literally reached for the moon. And well, over 50 years ago, the U.S. did it,” he added.
His advice: “Dream big. You can do it.”
