Bicol MSMEs unveil exquisite creations at Tokyo expo

The 19th Lifestyle Expo in Tokyo Big Sight is about to get a dose of Bicol flair!

The Department of Trade and Industry reported that 15 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the region are gearing up to showcase their fashion goods and accessories from July 3 to 5.

These rising stars, specializing in wearables and homeware, are bringing their finest creations – premium, export-quality pieces designed to captivate the Japanese market.

Imagine stunning items crafted from indigenous materials like abaca, coconut, and pili shells – a celebration of Bicol’s heritage in every stitch.

Regional director Dindo Nabol anticipates a significant boost in sales, along with a surge in buyer interest and brand recognition for the participating MSMEs.

Representing the diverse provinces of Bicol – Albay (8), Camarines Sur (3), Catanduanes (3), and Masbate (1) – these MSMEs will unveil their brand new summer collections.

Curated by design experts from the Design Center of the Philippines (DCP), these lines will showcase functionality, innovation, and the hottest trends, all while highlighting Bicol’s rich craftsmanship and creativity.
