The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has suspended 26 buses of Victory Liner plying the Cubao-Baguio route following a vehicular accident in La Union last January 3 that killed three people.
Victory Liner was asked to explain within 72 hours why its certificate of public convenience should not be suspended, canceled or revoked.
The drivers of the suspended bus units have also been directed to attend a road safety seminar conducted by the Land Transportation Office.
Apart from this, the LTFRB required a roadworthiness certificate as well as schedule of the regular preventive maintenance service of the buses.
Victory Liner was also directed to provide proof of payments from its passenger insurance company to ensure the insurance benefits arising from the road crash had been duly received by the victims.
